Grammy Award-winning soul diva Adele announced on Friday that she is pregnant with her first child. The 24-year-old, who swept this year's Grammys after the success of her second album "21", revealed the news on her official website, adding that she and boyfriend Simon Konecki were "over the moon". "I'm delighted to announce that Simon and I are expecting our first child together," she wrote. "I wanted you to hear the news direct from me, obviously we're over the moon and very excited but please respect our privacy at this precious time," she added. "Yours always, Adele xx". The bubbly Londoner has reportedly been dating 36-year-old entrepreneur Konecki since last summer, and the couple went public with their relationship in January. Konecki divorced fashion stylist Clary Fisher in 2008 after four years of marriage. Adele's pregnancy caps an incredible year, which has seen her bounce back from throat surgery and "21" top the charts around the world. She took six gongs at the Grammys in Los Angeles in February, a record previously only matched by Beyonce. Adele told the US magazine "People" in February that she was keen to "be a mum". I want to settle down and have a family, definitely sooner rather than later," she said.

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Savannah Guthrie will replace Ann Curry as co-host of NBC's "Today" Show, NBC announced on Friday, a day after Curry made an emotional early exit from one of America's most high-profile television slots. Guthrie, 40, who previously served as co-host of the morning program's third hour, will join Matt Lauer in the main hosting chairs in a shake-up of the show's line-up aimed at curbing a recent decline in ratings, the network said. "She's got an undeniable range, and she's earned the trust of the news community, her colleagues and our viewers alike. I couldn't be happier for Savannah and the entire ‘Today' team," NBC News President Steve Capus said in a statement. Guthrie joined "Today" in June 2011 after a nearly three-year stint as a White House correspondent for NBC News. She holds a law degree from Georgetown University and will keep her title as chief legal correspondent for NBC News. Guthrie replaced Curry after "Today" had slipped in the ratings since Curry took the chair co-hosting with Lauer in June 2011. In April, ABC's "Good Morning America" moved ahead of "Today" in the weekly ratings race among total viewers for the first time in 16 years, according to Horizon Media. "Today" kept the lead among adults aged 25 to 54. Since then, the two shows have traded the No. 1 spot among total viewers. "It's going to take a while to see if Savannah Guthrie will make a difference in the ratings," said Syracuse professor Robert Thompson and director of its Bleier Center for Television and Popular Culture. "Was Anne Curry the problem, or has Good Morning America just become more aggressive?" The departing anchor was part of the show for 15 years as its news reader before becoming co-host, Thompson said, "so she ought to get some credit for its ratings success as well." Curry made an emotional on-air departure from the show on Thursday after just a year in the job, tearfully thanking the viewers who had supported her and saying that for those "who saw me as a ground breaker, I am sorry I could not carry the ball across the finish line." She will remain as an anchor-at-large for "Today" and other NBC newscasts while reporting on stories from around the globe. "Today", a huge profit center for NBC, generated $848 million in advertising revenue for the company last year, while "Good Morning America" made about $298 million, according to Horizon Media.

When "Seeking a Friend for the End of the World," you're probably going to look for one with a few "benefits." At least, that's how it plays out in Lorene Scafaria's film, which stars Keira Knightley as Penny and Steve Carell as Dodge, two neighbors who find themselves striking up an intimate relationship when faced with the doomsday scenario of an asteroid headed for Earth. That relationship, at first, isn't really romantic, Knightley has explained. “I don't know that their romantic arc actually has much to do with romance in the beginning and more to do with 'It's the end of the world, and we both want to have sex,' " the “Pride and Prejudice” actress told MTV. "I think that was sort of more what the romantic arc was hinged on, and then what it becomes is about friendship,” she continued of the two characters, who don't speak to each other until they're forced to - you know, because the world's about to end. Not that the recently engaged actress had any trouble generating chemistry with Carell. "As far as chemistry goes with Steve, he is one of the loveliest men in the entire world," she said. Anne Hathaway's ex boyfriend Raffaello Follieri is speaking out about his completed U.S. prison sentence for fraud and his past romance with the Devil Wears Prada star. "We were talking about marriage," Follieri, 33, tells People magazine in an exclusive interview from his home in Rome, Italy. "I was very much in love with her." Hathaway and Follieri dated from 2004 to 2008 and their relationship became public in Hollywood. Follieri -- who spent nearly four years in a U.S. federal prison facility after pleading guilty to 14 counts of wire fraud, conspiracy and money laundering -- was deported to Italy last month immediately after being released from jail. He said when he first entered prison he thought his life was over, but eventually "learned to survive by focusing on getting through one day at a time." Follieri admits making "mistakes" but tells the magazine: "I'm not a saint, but I'm not the devil." Follieri pleaded guilty to participating in a scheme that lured investors by falsely claiming Vatican connections that enabled church property to be purchased at a discount.

Anne Hathaway has seemingly gone to the extreme to lose weight for her roles in “Les Miserables” and “The Dark Knight Rises.” Extra TV reports that Hathaway stated of her diet: “I’m doing some crazy weight stuff right now. I’m on day six of detox… this diet makes me break out, so I love that. Nothing like living on hummus and radishes and then be all, ‘And I got a pimple. Yeah!’” The “Devil Wears Prada” star will be playing Selina Kyle (aka Catwoman) in the third installment of the Batman series, which opens July 20th. She had a few things to say about her costume, including calling it a “psychological terrorist. She stated, “…the suit, thoughts of my suit, changing my life so I would fit into that suit… it dominated my year. I went into the gym for 10 months and didn’t come out.” Meanwhile, however, The Examiner reports that nutritional expert, Jackie Keller, stated: “Hummus is a healthy food. Radishes are healthy foods. Kale is a healthy food. Alone or in combination, they don’t constitute a healthy diet — or a good way to lose weight, without additional foods.”

Meryl Streep isn’t typically known to speak against the film industry, but the prestigious actress had a few words at this week’s Women in Film Crystal and Lucy gala. It’s no surprise that films like John Carter and Battleship that were primed towards a box office success failed, losing millions of money for studio heads. In the case of Disney John Carter’s bomb lost $200 million for Disney. Streep seems to have a simple fix for the box office bombs as of late, and that’s to listen to the ladies of film. The Oscar-winning actress took to the stage at the gala on Tuesday and said: “In this room, we are very familiar with these dreadful statistics that detail the shocking under-representation of women in our business. Seven to ten percent of directors, producers, writers, and cinematographers [are women] in any given year. This in spite of the fact that in the last five years, five little movies aimed at women have earned over $1.6 billion: The Help, The Iron Lady believe it or not, Bridesmaids, Mamma Mia! and The Devil Wears Prada.” Of course one can note that Streep has starred in three of the five movies she mentioned in her speech, but she does have a point. In 2009, Kathryn Bigelow made history by being the only female director to receive a Best Director Oscar for The Hurt Locker. Three years later the change has been slow with little movement. A report was released in January 2012 that only 5% of Hollywood’s dictators are women. Streep, who was there to give an award to Viola Davis, noted this significant loss of mainstream films, continuing: “Alice Walker said that the most common way people give up their power is by thinking that they don’t have any. That’s like [hearing] that women don’t get raises because they don’t ask for them. It’s incredible.”

Besides this, the 'Queen Of Pop' is so obsessed with keeping her pricey tour wardrobe in good nick that she also has a portable dry cleaner, the Daily Star reported. The crooner is reportedly keen for everything to be just like it is at home, which is why even her dressing room has also been trimmed in a special fabric. She also wanted it to be decked with lilies and roses, with their stems trimmed to exactly six inches. The singer's people, who fear a diva-like tantrum from the pop star, have also removed the furniture from the rooms and filled them with the singer's own gear. Actress Yvette Wilson, the stand-up comedian and actress best known for her roles on the sitcom "Moesha" and its spinoff, "The Parkers," died Thursday at age 48 after a battle with cervical cancer. Wilson's friend Jeffrey Pittle, who organized a fund to help with her medical bills, confirmed her death to The Times. "She was a fighter to the end, and her talent, humor and amazing friendship will be sorely missed," he wrote on the fund's website. "She will live on through her awesome body of work." Wilson's friends and former co-stars remembered her on Twitter. Shar Jackson, who also appeared on "Moesha," wrote Thursday: "I wanna thank all my tweeties for their prayers but god has chosen to take my sister Yvette home..." Jamie Foxx wrote: "God bless u Yvette wilson. Tears in my eyes. Keep God laughing." After a start in stand-up comedy, Wilson's first acting roles came in the 1993 ABC sitcom "Thea" and in the films "House Party 3," "Friday" and "Poetic Justice." She appeared with R&B singer Brandy on "Moesha," a 1996 UPN sitcom, for five seasons before leaving to star in "The Parkers," where she worked for an another five seasons. LOS ANGELES (AP) - June 13, 2012 (WPVI) -- Court records show David Arquette has filed for divorce from actress Courtney Cox Arquette. The actor cited irreconcilable differences in his petition to end the couple's 12-year marriage. Arquette filed the petition on Friday in Los Angeles and the paperwork indicates he is self-represented. A publicist for the actor declined to comment and the Cox Arquette camp could not be immediately reached. The 40-year-old actor is traveling overseas and had a bar mitzvah ceremony at Jerusalem's Western Wall on Monday. Arquette and Cox have a 7-year-old daughter and the actor is seeking joint custody. The pair met on the set of the film "Scream" in 1996 and married three years later. They announced their separation in October 2010, but Arquette's filing lists the separation date as Dec. 31, 2011. It does not include any other details, but indicates Arquette signed the documents on March 23. . "We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply," the former couple wrote in a statement released after their separation. Cox gained widespread fame for her role on the TV comedy "Friends" and currently stars in ABC's "Cougar Town." Arquette is an executive producer of that show and has appeared in numerous films, including "Never Been Kissed" and "3000 Miles to Graceland."

Hugh Jackman got a massive surprise at the "2012 Tony Awards" (Sun., 8 p.m. ET on CBS) Sunday night. After telling him she was going to the bathroom, his wife Deborra-Lee Furness walked out on-stage and announced that she was presenting him with a special award honoring his work as a performer and humanitarian.

Jackman's been away shooting the movie version of "Les Miserables" with Russell Crowe and Tom Hooper, and Furness quipped "there's nothing more romantic after not seeing your husband for four months than to have our first night back together, on a Broadway stage, with 12 million people watching." A visibly emotional Jackman said, "Why any of this means anything, that is because my incredible wife and my kids support me." Turning to Furness he told her, "I love you with all my heart. I know how much you hate public speaking. This is probably the greatest thing you’ve ever done for me." And then the pair shared a passionate kiss before Jackman thanked the audience.

Lady Gaga was seeing stars on Sunday in New Zealand -- and not in a good way. Performing in a concert in Auckland, New Zealand, the pop singer, 26, was struck in the head with a pole (a set prop) -- but despite suffering a concussion, the star continued the show. An amateur online video reveals the scary incident, in which a backup dancer accidentally bonks the "Judas" singer on the head with the pole while removing it from the center stage. Gaga (real name: Stefani Germanotta) is seen staggering backwards after getting hit; she then chases after the dancer with a toy machine gun and briefly exits the stage. Her makeup artist, Tara Savelo, tweeted Monday: "Gaga has a concussion but she is going to be okay ... cant believe she finished the show."

roadway celebrated itself Sunday night – and crowned Once and playwright Bruce Norris's Clybourne Park as the season's best musical and drama, in a star-studded evening that third-time host Neil Patrick Harris called "the 66th annual Tony Awards, or, as we like to call it, Fifty Shades of Gay." Clybourne Park, which also won a 2011 Pulitzer Prize, takes its cues from Lorraine Hansberry's 1959 play A Raisin in the Sun, about developments in the Chicago suburb after the Younger family has moved in and moved on. The best play Tony was that show's only win; it was bested in the straight play category by Peter and the Starcatcher, a kind of prequel to Peter Pan, which won five.

Another "Jersey Shore" star has been arrested.This time it's Deena Cortese, who was arrested on June 10 in New Jersey town. Cortese was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct, according to the Associated Press. Cortese, 25, appeared intoxicated and was slapping cars in the middle of the street as they drove by. The reality star was taken to police headquarters, according to the wire service, and released on a summons. "Jersey Shore" recently began shooting its latest season in Seaside Heights. Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi had a similar arrest during filming of the series in 2010 for disturbing the peace, disorderly conduct and criminal annoyance of others. Later that year, she was sentenced to play a $500 fine and community service for the disturbing the peace charge after the other two charges were dropped. Polizzi, 24, made headlines on June 9 after her nude photos leaked online. The reality star's spokesperson said the photos were "old and personal" and "were not meant for the public." Snooki is currently expecting her first child with fiance Jionni LaValle. She revealed in May that she would be having a baby boy and shared a photo of her growing baby bump. Snooki announced her pregnancy and engagement to boyfriend Jionni LaValle in March. MTV announced on March 19 that it picked up "Jersey Shore" for a sixth season and that all the cast members will return. The new season is filming in the show's original location of Seaside Heights, New Jersey. It has filmmed three previous seasons in that location. Polizzi will soon appear with her "Jersey Shore" co-star Jenni "JWoww" Farley in their reality spin-off called "Snooki & JWoww." That show premieres on June 21 at 10 p.m. on MTV

Lindsay Lohan escapes injury after major car crash

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Actress Lindsay Lohan escaped injury in a major car crash on Friday after her Porsche collided with andump truck on a Southern California highway.

Police said Lohan was driving her black Porsche with an unidentified male passenger on the Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica on her way to the set of her latest movie project, and collided with a dump truck.

The actress and her passenger were taken to the hospital as a precaution, and released shortly after. Neither Lohan or the driver of the truck were under the influence of drugs or alcohol, police said.

"Lindsay was involved in an automobile accident today on her way to the set....She is fine and was released less than two hours later and is already headed back to the set to resume work. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured in the accident," Lohan's publicist, Steve Honig, said in a statement.

Celebrity news website TMZ posted pictures of Lohan's Porsche following the incident, showing a crushed front and smashed windows.

Lohan, 26, is forging ahead with a comeback after a string of legal and personal troubles since 2007, including stints in jail, rehab and court. She was released in March from almost five years of formal probation stemming from a 2007 drunken driving and cocaine possession arrest.

The actress is currently playing late screen legend Elizabeth Taylor for a Lifetime TV movie "Liz & Dick," based on Taylor's love affair with actor Richard Burton.

Rapper Lil Phat, a member of Trill Entertainment whose roster includes Lil Boosie and Webbie, was shot and killed Thusday night outside an Atlanta hospital. Police Capt. Steve Rose confirmed to WXIA-TV, the local NBC affiliate, that 19-year-old Melvin Vernell III, who went by Lil Phat, was shot several times on the parking deck near the entrance of Northside Hospital Women's Center and was pronounced dead later that night. Authorities are searching for two men who were spotted fleeing the scene following the shooting. Vernell was an up-and-coming member of Trill, a hip-hop imprint started in Baton Rouge, La. On its website, the label calls him "the underdog ready to bust to the front line with his consistent street anthems and hustler music lyrics." The rapper was featured on Webbie's hit single "Independent," which reached No. 9 on the Hot 100 in 2008. On Twitter, Webbie wrote, "RIP to my lil brother Phat! Life so f--ked up! TRILL4LIFE." Former Fleetwood Mac guitarist and singer Bob Welch has been found dead in Nashville of an apparent suicide, according to the Nashville Police Department. The musician, who worked with the band in the early 1970s and later had hit solo songs such as "Ebony Eyes," was 66 years old. Nashville Police Department spokesman Don Aaron said in a statement, "The police department responded to his address at 12:18 p.m., where Mr. Welch was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the chest." Aaron added that Welch's wife indicated that he had been suffering with health issues. A suicide note was found in the home. Welch was a member of Fleetwood Mac as the band was transitioning away from being a British blues rock band and into the 1970s powerhouse that it became. As a singer and guitarist, Welch was lesser known than the pair who replaced him -- lead vocalist Stevie Nicks and guitarist Lindsey Buckingham -- but his work with fellow band mates including Mick Fleetwood and John and Christie McVie prior to Nicks' arrival on albums "Future Games," "Bare Trees" and "Heroes are Hard to Find," among others, set the tone for what was to come. Welch left the band amid the chaos of the McVie divorce, just prior to mainstream success with the 1975 album "Fleetwood Mac" and then "Rumors," Fleetwood Mac's acclaimed 1977 hit album. The singer went solo, and scored a massive hit with "Ebony Eyes" in 1977. The album from which it was culled, "French Kiss," featured a number of former Fleetwood Mac members, as well as a rendition of "Sentimental Lady," a song originally recorded with Mac but reworked by Welch. Welch was born in Los Angeles in 1945, the son of successful Hollywood movie producer Robert Welch, best known for his work with Bob Hope on a series of "Paleface" films. Kelsey Grammer isn’t taking any chances with his latest marriage to wife Kayte Walsh, and the couple, who are basically newlyweds, renewed their vows in Las Vegas over the weekend.

Kelsey Grammer is not only on his fourth marriage, but the last one ended famously in shambles, with a ton of public squabbling between the Frasier star and his former wife Camille Grammer. While the third time clearly was not the charm for Grammer and his still-somewhat-disgruntled former bride, he seems to be hoping that going balls out on marriage number four could change his odds.

The renewal of vows isn’t Kelsey Grammer’s only recent foray into “hey, it’s really for real this time” town recently, as the aging star got a tattoo of Wifey #4′s name on his hip back in April. At the time, the tattoo artist’s grandma joked to press that instead of inking Kayte Walsh’s name on his flesh, Grammer “should have just “put a ‘K’ with a period to give him some flexibility.”

Saturday’s vow renewal between Grammer and Walsh took place at a Vegas chapel, Little Church of the West. The venue’s Greg Smith blabbed to Us about the intimate ceremony, saying that even the sixth time around, vows can be moving:

“It was emotional… He was choked up about the whole time and you can tell they are very much in love and happy. He had tears of joy.”

Kelly Clarkson says she is a “freak” when it comes to cleaning.

“I am an organise freak. I love cleaning, it is my check out time,” she told UK TV show This Morning. “I just put records on and I clean. It is my time to check out, I love it. There is something very therapeutic about it.”The singer enjoys tidying up when she isn’t performing live or working on new songs. Kelly claims household chores are the perfect way to unwind.

Kelly admits that spending long periods of time on the road can be tough. She often feels homesick when she is travelling around the world, but feels lucky to be surrounded by such a strong support network.

“Ten years of doing it all the time, you do miss having your own kitchen and your own room,” she confessed. “Luckily I travel with a great band and crew, so we make it fun. You try and make it like camp.”

Kelly shot to fame after winning talent show American Idol. The 30-year-old is grateful for all her career achievements, but insists she has never craved the spotlight.

“Yes and no. I have never really loved fame. I love what you can do with it, that you can channel it. But yeah, it’s awkward to go into stores and you can’t go anywhere. But at the same time it’s cool when people come up and say, ‘You’re such a great example to my daughter,’” she explained. “I think honestly, it is not so much on me. I think being a family member or friend is very hard. I think it is harder on the people around you, than you a lot of times.”

Sacré bleu! Apparently someone had an appetite for Axl Rose's jewels! Per British reports, French police are probing the theft of $200,000 worth of trinkets that was taken from the Guns N' Roses frontman at an afterparty following the legendary band's gig at Paris' Bercy Stadium. "Paradise City" this was not. A police source told the U.K.'s Daily Mirror that three gold-and-diamond necklaces were lifted from the 50-year-old Rose while he wasn't wearing them. No word how the culprit got his hands on them. But the oft-volatile singer was reportedly "fuming" after learning his stash had been taken. A rep for Guns N' Roses was unavailable for comment. Rose and his hired Gunners are in the midst of a European trek and are slated to play Möenchengladbach, Germany, on Friday night.

French police arrested a woman after she returned three gold-and-diamond necklaces - worth $200,000 - which had gone missing from a party held by Axl's band, Guns N' Roses, in Paris. The woman - a model - claimed she didn't know how she had ended up with the 'Paradise City' hitmaker's chains. It is not known if she has been formally charged with theft at this time. According to a spokesman for the band, Axl was not wearing the necklaces when they were stolen. However, police said the singer was ''fuming'' about the theft. Guns N' Roses have met with frequent troubles on their current European tour, with heavy criticism for taking to the stage late, in many cases later than after 11pm. In London the band - of which Axl is the only original member - threatened to walk off stage if fans continued to throw money and plastic cups at them after they took to the stage 50 minutes late. Bass player Tommy Stinson said: ''If you throw any f***ing thing on stage, we'll go home.'' Guns N' Roses next show is in Moenchengladbach, Germany, on Friday (08.06.12), before they will return to France as part of their European tour, which lasts until July 22.

Amanda Bynes is taking her DUI case straight to the Commander in Chief. On Tuesday, the 26-year-old "What I Like About You" actress was formally charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs following an April 6 run-in with a cop car. E! News reports that Bynes is also accused of refusing a police officer's request to complete a chemical test to determine what substances were in her system. But Bynes isn't going to take her charges lying down. After being charged, she Tweeted President Barack Obama to plead her case. "Hey @BarackObama... I don't drink. Please fire the cop who arrested me," she wrote in a tweet to the President's re-election campaign Twitter account. "I also don't hit and run. The end." About a month after her her April 6 incident, Bynes was involved in an alleged hit-and-run in Hollywood, according to TMZ. She sideswiped another vehicle while she was trying to pass on the right in her Range Rover SUV. Though the actress continued driving after making contact, she reportedly cooperated with police when they caught up with her, telling authorities she didn't realize she had struck the other car. An arraignment for Bynes' DUI case is scheduled for Wednesday morning; because it is a misdemeanor charge, only her lawyer is expected in court.

While filming one of her first scenes Monday for the Lifetime movie, Liz & Dick, Lindsay Lohan had a wardrobe malfunction similar to Janet Jackson’s except it wasn’t aired live. The paparazzi were on location, as usual, to capture Lindsay’s first comeback. In the movie, Lohan, 25, plays Elizabeth Taylor and True Blood star Grant Bowler, 43, plays Richard Burton, who Taylor married and divorced twice. The scene in which the incident happened was aboard a boat in Marina Del Rey, CA. The location is supposed to represent the Bay of Naples in Italy, a place where the famous couple vacationed. Her wardrobe malfunction happened after she was trying to push Bowler away from her in a dramatic fight scene. If LiLo wasn’t wearing a low-cut revealing dress, her left breast wouldn’t have popped out. The New York Post reports that Lohan looked angry and was terrified that it happened. Afterwards, she went inside the boat to readjust her dress and came out laughing. Executive Producer, Larry Thompson told E! News, “A little first-day jitters for everyone, but it went well.” He also said Lindsay was in a good mood. Last month Thompson told E! News what Lohan's and Bowler's first reading was like: “The chemistry exploded...It was just Fourth of July firecrackers going off in the room.” Hopefully their chemistry will be reflected on-screen when Liz and Dick premieres on Lifetime in November.

Queen Latifah made a recent appearance at the LGBT Pride Festival in Long Beach California and this led to numerous suppositions in relation to her sexual orientation. According to Entertainment Weekly, the singer released a statement after the parade to explain people that being part of a gay parade doesn’t necessarily make you gay. A lot of discussions have been made in relation to Queen Latifah’s sexuality ever since she first started her musical career. The “U.N.I.T.Y” interpreter never made any explicit declarations because she prefers to keep her personal life away from the prying eyes of the media. Despite this, her recent appearance at the LGBT Pride Festival in Long Beach, California was described by many as an indirect confession of her lesbian orientation. Queen Latifah issued a statement after the parade telling people that she doesn’t think one needs to be gay to support homosexual parades. As to her orientation, the singer reminded everyone that she never liked discussing her private life with the public and it’s not her intention to do it in the future, either. The interpreter further explained that she likes gay parades because she considers them to be incredibly fun. As a matter of fact, Latifah’s first concert was in a gay club. The New Year’s Eve concert which was hosted in San Francisco enabled the artist to gain $10,000. In her opinion, the best weapon people have to fight against all the hatred and bullying is to love each other. This is why Latifah showed up on stage during the Long Beach parade. Even after the Tuesday statement there are fans who still consider that Latifah is gay and needs to come out of the closet. At the opposite end, however, there are people who defend the singer telling everyone that she has the right to keep her sexual orientations private, no matter what these may be. Other fans have taken to the Twitterverse to tell Latifah that they would still admire her whether she were gay or not.

Singer-songwriter Sheryl Crow says she has a brain tumor, something she described to CNN on Tuesday as a "bump in the road." "Please don't worry about my 'brain tumor,' it's a noncancerous growth. I know some folks can have problems with this kind of thing, but I want to assure everyone I'm OK," she wrote on her Facebook page. Crow, a breast cancer survivor, spoke to CNN Chief Medical Correspondent Sanjay Gupta, a practicing neurosurgeon, about the diagnosis. She told him the tumor was discovered months ago. Crow doesn't need surgery but will have periodic scans to monitor the growth, she told Gupta. According to the singer's representative, Crow was diagnosed with meningioma, a common type of brain tumor. Elizabeth Taylor had one; so did Mary Tyler Moore, said Gupta. "It's a tumor that typically grows between the outer layer of the brain and the brain itself. So it's not actually inside the brain," he said. Depending on their size, some people will have their tumors removed right away. Some, like Crow, take the wait-and-see approach, while others might never need an operation or treatment. "Really appreciate everyone's love and concern, I feel so blessed to have the support of all my fans, but I'm good -- really!" wrote Crow.

Hugh Hefner may once again be dating his runaway bride, but sources say the Playboy mogul is taking it slow this time. Radar Online reports that Hefner is being more cautious this time around, after Harris abruptly called off their wedding just five days in advance of the event last summer and later commented to the press that sex with her former betrothed lasted "like two seconds." “Hef and Crystal are taking it slowly this time,” a source told the site. “They’re just getting back to their old groove together, and so far they haven’t talked about marriage or a wedding.” After reports surfaced last week that the couple was back together, Harris confirmed the news by tweeting, "Yes @hughhefner and I are back together. Yes I am his #1 girl again. Yes we are happy. Hope that clears up any confusion! xo." Harris was Playboy's cover girl in July 2011, in an issue that was intended to announce the playmate as Hefner's wife. Because the cover had already been printed as the wedding was cancelled, complete with the cover line "Introducing Mrs. Crystal Hefner," the magazine went out to newsstands with a "Runaway Bride" sticker on it.

At best, it's counterintuitive to insult your headliner right before they take the stage. Especially if it's Nicki Minaj. The rapper was set to headline Hot 97′s Summer Jam festival in East Rutherford, N.J., on Sunday but pulled out hours before following disparaging remarks from station personality Peter Rosenberg, who also hostsMTV's"Hip Hop Squares." Commenting from the festival stage on Minaj's radio-friendly single "Starships," which was produced by pop/dance powerhouse RedOne, the radio personality told the crowd that the New York station was "all about that real hip-hop." "I know there are some chicks in here waiting to sing along with 'Starships' later," he said between acts at the festival, one of only a few annual hip-hop events of its stature. "I'm not talking to y'all right now." He then dismissed the song with some unprintable language. The snub didn't sit well with Minaj — or with her label head, Lil Wayne. He pulled the plug on all his Young Money artists set to play at Summer Jam. "The President has spoken," wrote Minaj on Twitter. "I go above and beyond for my fans. But won't ever go against wayne's word. What he says, goes." Minaj started out as an edgy, underground hip-hop artist in Queens who made a name for herself with razor-sharp raps and warp-speed rhymes. She was a rare example of a successful and respected female emcee in a largely male-dominated genre. But since the April release of her sophomore album, "Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded," Minaj has been criticized in some hip-hop circles for turning her back on the world she came from. She raised hackles among Catholics and conservative Christians with her provocative, "Exorcist"-themed Grammy performance this year, and complaints from music fans that felt she was trying too hard to be controversial, a la Lady Gaga. The glossy Euro-pop track "Starships" (the album's first single) offered an infectious chorus, fist-pumping breakdowns and a "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" sample. The song debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard pop chart, only her second solo Top 10 debut, after the equally pop-focused "Super Bass." Minaj unapologetically attempted to sate both longtime fans wanting the venomous verses they fell in love with on mix tapes and her newer, pop-loving delegation that appreciated the whimsy of "Super Bass" and singsongy pop numbers such as the David Guetta collaboration, "Turn Me On." Times pop critic Randall Roberts commented that the album's dance tracks sinked the disc: "In a spectacularly unfortunate crash-and-burn, Minaj abruptly hits the accelerator and stops rapping, leaving behind the minimal, bouncy hip-hop tracks that highlight her charm and achievement in favor of 128-beat-per-minute dance pop songs as simple as they are generic," he wrote. When Minaj burst onto the scene in 2010, hip-hop purists hoped her crossover success would resurrect female rap, and a slew of fresh talent bubbled up in her wake. New faces such as Australian bombshell Iggy Azalea, Florida girl Brianna Perry and bawdy spitfire Azealia Banks, especially, have become darlings on rap and indie blogs that have grown disenchanted with Minaj's balancing act. Minaj, who didn't respond to a request for comment, tweeted that she was especially peeved that Rosenberg, who has christened himself the "Jewish Johnny Carson" and works for a radio station with a predominately African American audience, would diss a black woman. Hip-hop has long been dominated by men, and despite the number of women who have broken through before Minaj came along, femcees have been rare sightings on the charts for nearly a decade. "It's very disturbing," Perry said when asked about the lack of female rappers on the scene. "I know it's a male-dominated game in hip-hop and rap. It's kind of discouraging being that's what I want to do. But I feel like girls are coming back strong right now. A lot of women are working hard and grinding. The female empowerment is coming back." Rosenberg didn't return a request for comment but tweeted, "Last night I said nothing different than I have ever said. It was not a personal dis. It was starships is .... WHICH WE ALL KNOW IS TRUE." Hot 97's Funkmaster Flex, an on-air personality, agreed with Rosenberg and said, "We don't ... with commercial artists no more. We don't give a ... if you commercial or pop and you afraid to touch down in Jersey." The prolific DJ fueled the controversy after making comments clearly directed toward Minaj. He said he had a career to ruin on his radio show and joked about Minaj's record sales. After re-tweeting negative and positive comments directed toward the station following the incident, he said "all questions will be answered." Minaj was booked to appear on his radio show Monday night. The show will undoubtedly promise big ratings (Minaj's A&R and co-executive producer Safaree Samuels had promised to punch Rosenberg.) Ebro Darden, Hot 97's vice president of programming, wouldn't comment on the controversy but did said "as always Hot 97's Summer Jam was legendary and historic." Wayne's decision also kept DJ Khaled and Busta Rhymes, who recently inked a deal with Wayne, from the stage. Veteran rapper Nas filled in for Minaj and surprised the crowd with one of hip-hop's most revered femcees, Lauryn Hill. Both were supposed to appear during Minaj's set alongside Foxy Brown, Cam'ron, 2 Chainz, Beenie Man and more, according to a pre-show tweet from Minaj. "I do support artists standing by their beliefs, and walking with integrity," read a statement from the notoriously reclusive Hill on Monday. "We have to find a better way to commercially exploit music, while giving artists their proper respect. This cannot be done while taking their contributions for granted, or trying to control the scope of their growth and power through threats and fear tactics. We can do better than this, there is a better way, or else 'we' (the proverbial we) find ourselves in danger of being hypocrites!!!"

Kathryn Joosten died of lung cancer Saturday, her representative said. She was 72. The two-time Emmy-winning U.S. actress, who most recently played Karen McCluskey in "Desperate Housewives," was with family and friends when she died in Westlake Village, Calif., People magazine reported. "Kathryn passed away this morning after a valiant fight against her cancer," Nadine Jolson, Joosten's representative, told E! News. "This is a terrible loss, and she fought as hard as she could." Her family noted in a statement that Joosten had fought lung cancer for 11 years. "Thanks to everyone for their love and support," her family said. "We are laughing through our tears. We love you, Kathy, thanks for everything." Joosten, who won Emmys in 2005 and 2008, took up acting at age 42 after a career as a psychiatric nurse. "Desperate Housewives" creator Marc Cherry said Joosten's character initially had been intended to appear in just one episode. "We then cast Kathryn Joosten and she infused the part with so much feisty wit and curmudgeonly bravado, we knew we had to move her onto Wisteria Lane for the run of the series," Cherry said. "I will forever miss her, as a co-worker and as a friend." Joosten also appeared on "Dharma and Greg," "My Name is Earl," "Ally McBeal" and "The West Wing."

She said that while she appreciates the sentiments of those who claim she was robbed on Dancing, she doesn’t exactly agree. “That’s like saying somebody broke into my house and left me $200,000…don’t feel sorry for anybody who gets voted off. That’s what they make.” Financial compensation was not the only benefit to being on Dancing with the Stars. Margaret Cho also came away with several valuable friendships. While chatting on The View, she mentioned her instant friendship with fellow contestant Brandy. “Brandy was my best friend from Dancing with the Stars…she was the person I connected with….I just love her because she knows what [the show] is like.” Margaret Cho has such a bubbly personality; it’s hard to see her not making friends, even in a drama-laden season of Dancing. It would be a win-win situation if she made the all-star cast for next season; fans would get to see their favorite actress and Cho would get another $200,000. No complaints there.

(Reuters) - Richard Dawson, an actor and TV host best known for his work on the game show "Family Feud" and sitcom "Hogan's Heroes," has died from complications of esophageal cancer. He was 79. The British-born actor died on Saturday at Ronald Reagan Memorial hospital in Los Angeles, his son Gary Dawson said on Sunday. Dawson appeared on numerous TV shows in the 1960s, but it was his job as the emcee of "Family Feud" where his wit and charm served him best as he helped make the program a big hit of the 1970s. "Feud," which debuted in 1976 with members of two different families competing against each other by trying to guess the results of survey questions, became a No. 1 U.S. daytime TV show for a time. Over the years, "Feud" expanded into prime-time specials featuring top celebrities and made Dawson the highest-paid game show emcee of his day. It was canceled in 1985, but reborn in syndication. Various incarnations with different hosts have aired since then. "He was loved by millions of Americans as a television icon, but loved even more as a husband, a father, and grandfather by his family," Gary Dawson wrote on his Facebook page. Richard Dawson, whose given name was Colin Lionel Emm, was born on November 20, 1932, in Gosport, England. At age 14, he joined the merchant marines and served for three years. After his discharge, he worked as a stand-up comedian in London clubs including the legendary "Stork Room," where he met actress Diana Dors. She became his first wife in 1959. Dawson soon transitioned from British comedian to Hollywood actor appearing on many top TV programs of the early 1960s, such as "The Dick Van Dyke Show" and "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In." His role as a military prisoner in the 1965 film "King Rat" led to TV's "Hogan's Heroes," about a band of allied POWs in a German camp who were constantly fooling their captors. Dawson portrayed Briton Peter Newkirk, who possessed a clever mind and a quick wit in the hit show that ran from 1965 to 1971. When the program went off the air, Dawson began appearing as a celebrity panelist on a number of TV game shows, including the popular "Match Game," and those appearances eventually led to his hosting duties on "Family Feud." Beyond TV, Dawson appeared in movies, including a co-starring role alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Stephen King sci-fi film "The Running Man." In 2000, Dawson retired. At the height of his success on "Feud," he met contestant Gretchen Johnson, who would become his second wife. Dawson is survived by Johnson, two sons, a daughter and four grandchildren.

Just ahead of Father’s Day, new dads Neil Patrick Harris and partner David Burtka joined Oprah Winfrey to talk about the challenges and rewards of having children as a same-sex couple and of raising twins. “We really, really wanted kids,” Harris says in a clip from “Oprah’s Next Chapter,” airing Sunday. “We really had thought it through financially, emotionally, relationship-wise. We didn't just accidentally get pregnant and decide that now we need to make this work. These kids come into our world with nothing but love.” The comment prompted the ever-wise queen of all media to have what she calls “an aha moment.” “Same-sex couples, in order to have a child, means you really, really, really, really gotta do a lot of work to make that happen,” Winfrey says, prompting nods and agreement from Harris and Burtka. Also in the episode, Winfrey meets Gideon and Harper, the couple's 19-month-old twins. Each father fertilized one egg, and both boys were carried and born via one surrogate. Harris and Winfrey apparently have some history when it comes to matters of parenthood, at least if the “How I Met Your Mother” star is to be believed (and in this case, he probably isn’t). In March, Harris purportedly spoiled his show’s central mystery, telling David Letterman that Oprah is in fact the show’s yet-unrevealed title character. Harris seems less inclined to say what surprises are in store for next week’s Tony Awards, which he will host June 10. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly recently, Harris downplayed his own contributions to the show. “The more content I end up doing, then the less time everyone gets to spend watching performances, and really, in addition to doling out awards, that’s the reason you watch,” he said. But, he added, “Not to say I won’t be around. I’m hoping for the watercooler-y moments when you have to pause and go back and rewatch. There will be a couple surprises!”

Earlier this year, movie audiences saw Julia Roberts play the Evil Queen in a comedic take of the "Snow White" tale. However, the character takes on a completely different and darker persona when Charlize Theron steps into the role in "Snow White and the Huntsman." The actress recently spoke to OnTheRedCarpet.com host Rachel Smith about taking on the devious character and the costumes she donned in the film. "I think the reason why I really wanted to do it was because I saw a lot of potential in finding the human within a character that's become very iconic for just being one thing and that's being evil," Theron said. "I like that challenge." In the film, Theron plays a power-hungry queen whose youthful looks and magic are threatened by her stepdaughter Snow White (played by Kristen Stewart) who will one day be "the fairest of them all." The Evil Queen sends a Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) to track down Snow White in the dark forest, but he ends up teaching Snow White to protect herself. The film hit theaters on June 1. "I was really excited to kind of, in a way, almost work backwards and get to a place of understanding these were the crossroads, this is where it all went wrong," Theron said. "So now I understand why she's behaving the way she does." Theron also talked to Smith about the subtle regal accent she speaks with in the film. "I think you have to in order to try and do it as authentically as possible find a way to make it, to help you, and inform you," Theron said about the accent. "There was something about that voice that was really, I don't know, I never tried it in an American voice, but it really helped." The 36-year-old Oscar-winning actress is seen in still from the movie donning ornate costumes for the role and Theron said that attire looked great and somewhat easy to move in, but not necessarily comfortable. "We should have such an appreciation for costume designers, because not only do they have to make things look exquisite but they have to be practical. We have to be able to work in them," she said. "It wasn't like wearing sweatpants. I'm not going to lie. There were days where I was like, 'Oh, not the corset today!'"
