Ke$ha slammed for drinking urine on TV

Ke$ha has been heavily criticised by the Parent Television Council for drinking her own urine on a TV show.

The singer drank her wee during an episode of her reality series, Ke$ha: My Crazy Beautiful Life, which premiered on MTV last month.

The regulatory organisation quickly reacted to the scene after it had been broadcast, slamming the show for it's "disgusting, vile content".

In an open letter to its supporters, the PTC wrote: "Why should we have to pay for this kind of garbage just so we can get access to Discovery, Disney, or the Golf channel? It's outrageous - and it shouldn't be that way.

"Consumers deserve choice. We should all have the ability to choose and pay for only the channels we want to watch … but the cable industry won't let that happen without a fight."

The organisation - of which Miley Cyrus' dad Billy Ray Cyrus sits on its advisory board - went on to praise Senator John McCain, who has been campaigning for parents to have more control over the channels they pay for on their Cable license.

Ke$ha defended her wee-drinking stunt previously. She said: "I heard it was good for you. That was, like, the rumour."
