Did Katherine Webb and AJ McCarron break up?

Buzz is bubbling up that big 'Bama quarterback AJ McCarron and his beauty queen/model/Splash reality show star girlfriend Katherine Webb have ended their romance.

RadarOnline got the rumors rolling early Friday by quoting Katherine's mother, Leslie, as saying, "Yes," they've broken up. "Katherine's just trying to stay real busy."

The two became famous when ESPN announcer Brent Musberger pointed out Webb in the stands during an Alabama football game back in January.

By mid-day, however, the story was beginning to bubble back down as a rep responded to Radar to deny the report, saying "AJ and Katherine have not broken up." He's busy with football and she's busying with modeling. That's all.

And Webb handled it on Twitter by writing, "Don't believe everything you hear...smh." (Shaking my head.)
