Jennifer Love Hewitt’s Fiancé Scuffles With Paparazzo

Jennifer Love Hewitt had a date night gone wrong over the weekend.

The trouble reportedly began when the expectant "Client List" star, 34, and her fiancé and co-star, Brian Hallisay, also 34, encountered a paparazzo as they left Italian eatery Toscana in the Brentwood section of L.A. According to reports from TMZ and E!, Hallisay demanded the photog refrain from snapping photos of the couple, and when he didn't, Hallisay attempted to use physical force to stop the shutterbug.

Hewitt graciously offered to pose for a few shots afterward, but the photographer filed a police report anyway, claiming that Hallisay hit him in the face with his own camera.

A Los Angeles Police Department spokesman confirmed to omg! that there is an ongoing battery investigation, although he declined to release the names of those involved or other details because no arrests were made.

Even after the altercation, it's unlikely that the paps will stop following the 6-months-pregnant Hewitt and her family. She's been acting for more than two decades.
