Longtime news anchor for NBC 5 Jane McGarry was arrested over the weekend under suspicion of driving under the influence. The 56-year old reporter–who is a National Gracie Award winner–was pulled over in Dallas after failing to signal when she changed lanes, and when officers noted her bloodshot eyes and odd demeanor they asked her to perform several sobriety tests, which she failed. Although she refused a breathalyzer test, officials took a blood sample from her, as per their policy. McGarry doesn’t have a prior record but her employer is looking into the matter, according to Brian Hocker, vice president of programming. Hopefully one mistake won’t be the undoing of her career.

The Toronto Sun reports that last weeks episode had 21 jokes about sex and this week should be more of the same. Beth Behrs said that the she was a little embarrassed telling all of the dirty jokes during rehearsals with Martha Stewart sitting next to her. Behrs said: “(Show creator) Michael Patrick King said it was the first time when he seen me at a table read ever shy away from the dirty stuff. Like my face would get red and nervous sitting next to her because I felt so embarrassed and like we had to be very proper. But she’s hilarious. Her comedic timing blew me away. She was funny. I was quite impressed.” The Toronto Sun reports that the one-hour finale of “2 Broke Girls” features Max (Dennings) and Caroline (Behrs) stalking Martha Stewart at the Metropolitan Museum of Art with the hope of having the TV icon taste one of their cupcakes.

Kanye West claims only white people use the word "bling".

The 'Gold Digger' rapper insists the slang term is now passé and using it makes people look old fashioned.

Kanye told Complex magazine: "Only white people and older black people say 'bling' now. If a white person uses slang too early, then that makes them look like a wigger. But if black people use slang too late, then it makes them look like a wigger."

Kanye celebrated his 30th birthday at New York's Tenjune nightclub in June, where he was presented with a huge cake incorrectly emblazoned with the name "Kayne".

Other guests who helped celebrate the hip-hop star's landmark birthday included Mariah Carey, Rihanna, Ashlee Simpson and her boyfriend Pete Wentz.

As the celebrations began, Kanye said: "I'm in my 20s as we speak right now, but at midnight, I'll be 30. I'm already 30 in Japan and London and everywhere else."
