The super-thin Spice Girl - who will star as herself in the special episode of the hit comedy about a glossy fashion magazine - will shock audiences by turning up to the on screen wedding in a fat suit, pretending to have gorged on calorific treats since her move to America.

An insider at the ABC network said: "Everybody at the wedding will be expecting skinny beautiful Posh to show up.

"But they'll be horrified to see she's piled on the pounds because of major comfort eating and American junk food."

The 33-year-old singer - who recently moved to Los Angeles with husband David Beckham and their three sons after he signed a multi-million dollar contract with the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team - admitted she was not invited to appear on the show for her acting prowess.

She said: "I'll be playing myself. And I'll get to wear a fabulous outfit, so I won't be acting."

The mother-of-three is desperate to be a Stateside success and is hoping her appearance on the show will help raise her profile.

Heidi Klum is not very pleased about being neighbors with the Beckhams in LA.

The supermodel says America's new favorite couple have brought media chaos to Hollywood Hills since they moved there last month.

Heidi, who lives with husband Seal and their children described the madness on the Tonight Show With Jay Leno.

"You couldn't even drive by because the paparazzi were hanging out, waiting for them to leave the house," she said "It's kind of a pain."

“They all reckon David is gorgeous and Lindsay set the challenge to get stuck in.

Tom Cruise amazed guests at David and Victoria Beckham's 'Welcome to Los Angeles' party by doing the splits.

The Hollywood superstar - who hosted the bash for the soccer superstar and his Spice Girl wife - was showing off his acrobatic dance moves while gyrating with wife Katie Holmes.

A source said: "The party was in full swing when Tom amazed guests by doing the splits while he was dancing with Katie."

David and Victoria - who moved to Los Angeles earlier this month with their three sons after David joined the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team - danced intimately for much of the evening.

At one point, during a romantic song, David pulled Victoria close to him and whispered: "I love you so much."

Guests at the exclusive party, held at Hollywood's Museum Of Contemporary Art on Sunday (22.07.07), were treated to a delicious banquet which included the traditional English dish of sausage and mash and the American favourite, burgers and fries.

They were also served vintage champagne and fresh fruit cocktails in black crystal glasses.

Celebrities in attendance included, Demi Moore and her husband Ashton Kutcher, Demi's ex-husband Bruce Willis, Jim Carrey and his girlfriend Jenny McCartney and Eva Longoria.

Will Smith and wife Jada Pinkett Smith, who were also seen getting down on the dancefloor, helped Tom and Katie organise the bash.

Victoria Beckham has reportedly warned Paris Hilton to stay away from her soccer star husband David.

The Spice Girl, who moved to Los Angeles with David and their three sons earlier this month, was said to be furious when she heard the hotel heiress had described the Los Angeles Galaxy player as "hot".

Now she has allegedly told friends that Paris and other young Hollywood stars - including Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears - better keep their hands off David.

A source told Britain's Star magazine: "This move to Los Angeles means everything to her. She is happier with David than ever and sees this as an exciting chapter for her and their boys.

"Although she trusts David 100 per cent, she will not tolerate any of the Los Angeles party girls making a move on him, or seeing him as fair game. She wants this to be very clear from the start - David is a devoted family man and these women should forget about trying it on with him.

David Beckham made his hotly-anticipated debut for the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team in front of a host of Hollywood stars on Saturday (21.07.07).

Katie Holmes, Eva Longoria, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jennifer Love Hewitt were among the sell-out crowd cheering on the sports superstar at the Home Depot Center Stadium.

David's wife Victoria was also in the stands along with the couple's three sons, Brooklyn, eight, Romeo, four and two-year-old Cruz.

The Spice Girl was seen sipping champagne with 'Desperate Housewives' beauty Eva, while her three sons found time during the match to entertain Katie's one-year-old daughter Suri.

Although David - who has signed a multi-million pound five-year contract with the club - only made it onto the pitch for the final 12 minutes of the match due to an ankle injury, he received an overwhelming reception.

The 27,000 fans gave him a standing ovation as he came on and cheered and applauded his every move and touch of the ball.

After the match - which English side Chelsea won 1-0 - the stars in attendance praised the Galaxy's most famous player.

Eva said: "It's wonderful that he is here. He will do a lot for soccer in America."

While fellow actress Jennifer said: "The game was better than any move premiere."

Last night (22.07.07), David and Victoria attended a 'Welcome to Hollywood' party thrown by good friends Tom Cruise and his wife Katie and Will Smith and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

The invitation-only event was held at the Geffen Contemporary museum, which is part of the Museum of Contemporary Art, in Los Angeles.

The exclusive party was attended by a number of stars, including Jim Carrey and his partner Jenny McCarthy, Brooke Shields and Alyson Hannigan.

The Spice Girls are under pressure to increase their world tour to 50 dates, after an unprecedented demand for tickets from fans.

The band - Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Emma Bunton, Mel C and Geri Halliwell - are to hold talks with manager Simon Fuller to extend the tour after two million fans registered on the group's website.

However, the group - who have agreed to 11 dates and are already considering a further 14 shows - are said to be reluctant because of family commitments.

A source said: "The girls really want to do a huge tour but they're worried about how much they'll be able to commit to it because of their families."

Victoria - who has just moved to Los Angeles with husband David - has three sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz, and Mel B has two daughters, Phoenix Chi and Angel Iris.

Geri is mother to one-year-old Bluebell Madonna, Emma is due to give birth next month, while Mel C has just got engaged and has solo commitments.

On wanting to change America’s opinion of her: “I think people are really going to see me for the first time. I think they have this impression that I’m this miserable cow who doesn’t smile. But I’m actually quite the opposite. When you’re out there, they’re trying to get pictures up your shirt, down your top. With all the flashes, it’s as much as you can do to just find your car. I’m going to try and smile more for America.”

On falling for David’s family values rather than his soccer fame: “I didn’t really know who he was. I was never into football… He was always with his mom, dad and sister while a lot of the footballers were at the bar getting drunk. I could sense right from the start that David was a gentleman, and very family-oriented, which is important because I’m the same.”

On buying a 22-million dollar villa in Beverly Hills, California: “I had quite a lot of things to get my head around. What was the nicest area? I was very much like, ‘Okay, the seaside is down there, training is there, school is there, and I think Barneys is over there.’ I kind of did it like that… we didn’t want anything too huge, too fancy, too ostentatious… something quite practical for the kids. It’s a light, happy house, with a great corridor the kids are going to love when they are roller-skating.”

On whether they are moving to America to improve the image of their current projects: “We’re not out to be the most famous people in America. We’re not looking at the move as boosting the brand. We’re us and we’ve got our kids. We’re not aware of a lot of the madness going on around us. We kind of keep to ourselves, really.”

On being a Spice Girl: “Being a Spice Girl opened a lot of doors, but it also shut many because of preconceptions people have about me. I’ve had to bang down those doors.”

On being focused on her career at a young age: “Everything revolved around my dancing and singing lessons. I used to customize my school uniforms. I loved clothes, hair and makeup. I’ve always been a real girly girl.”

On being pulled over by a cop in la for making an illegal turn: “The policeman was gorgeous. And he loved my shoes.”
