Nicole Kidman Provided Much-Needed Moral Support for Katie Holmes

Nicole Kidman knowns a thing or two about Tom Cruise. The couple met in 1989 on the set of director Tony Scott’s action/drama “Days of Thunder”, and were married about a year later. However, in February of 2001, a spokesperson for the couple announced their separation, a decision which was finalized in August of that year. Following the split, Kidman famously took to the Late Show with David Letterman, where she announced to everyone with a bendable ear that she could finally wear high heels again. Ouch. Wicked burn. Kidman has plenty of experience with the ins and outs of being married to someone like Cruise, so it would only make sense that Katie Holmes would look to the actor’s ex-wife for a little moral support. According to celebrity gossip website Hollywood Life, Holmes often turned to Kidman for advice and support throughout their marriage. If anybody has insight into just how crazy and ridiculous Cruise can be, it’s certainly Kidman. “They’ve spoken over the last few weeks. Nicole has been supportive, saying she’s been through it too and to hang in there,” an anonymous source explained to US Weekly. “They spoke when Nicole called the kids. She knows what it’s like in that freaky house.” According to reports, the Church of Scientology repeatedly told Kidman’s children that she was a “sociopath”, a fate which Holmes felt would befall Suri. In order to prevent that from happening, she decided to make her escape. Who did she turn to for advice? Nicole Kidman. “Nicole offered her support and help since she’s been there. She has been a private friend not many people know about. She told Katie her life is great and now she has no regrets,” the source said. Whether there’s any truth to this story remains to be seen.

Jessica Biel: Justin Timberlake picks out my outfits

Jessica Biel says fiance Justin Timberlake often rejects and picks out her outfits and chose her engagement ring."When I walk out of the closet after getting dressed in the morning, I'll go like this [turns palms upward as if to say, 'Well?'] And he goes like this [shakes his head no]. Biel and Timberlake have reportedly been engaged since January, but Biel said that her engagement ring was her future husband's choice. "I had no say whatsoever [in the ring]. Timberlake, a pop singer whose acting career took off after the 2010 film "The Social Network," and Biel, who rose to fame with the series "7th Heaven," have never been married before. The two have been dating on and off for more than four years. Their most recent breakup was confirmed in March 2011. They reunited months later and were seen and photographed together at several Los Angeles parties and promotional events in the fall. When asked if she and Timberlake planned on raising any future children in Los Angeles, the Colorado-raised actress said she might like to move away from the Hollywood Hills. "I would like those future little people to have the experience I had, in some capacity," Biel said. "It was fun. I love Colorado; I've always thought that could be a possibility for me." Up next for Biel is the reboot of the film "Total Recall. Biel plays a prostitute/freedom fighter named Melina who teams up with Doug Quaid, played by Colin Farrell, to change the political system in country set in a fascist future. The original science fiction movie was released in 1990 and starred Schwarzenegger as Quaid. Sharon Stone played Lori, Quaid's wife, in the original film and Kate Beckinsale will play her role in the new version. The film is set to be released on August 3 and also stars John Cho and Ethan Hawke.

UPDATE: Twitter really has it in for Eddie Murphy. Just a couple months after his supposed death by winter sports, the funny man was once again the victim of an Internet hoax by the very same seemingly insurmountable rumor. Rest assured, he is alive and well. Though probably a little agitated with social media. Call it death by a thousand Web rumors. For the third time in as many months, word spread like wildfire on social media sites and Twitter that Eddie Murphy met a tragic end, having been killed in a snowboarding accident in Zermatt, Switzerland. But as E! News can confirm., such reports are complete B.S.As E! News previously investigated, they are the product of pranksters at the Global Associated News, a macabre site behind a rash of similar hoaxes—whether it was falling off a cliff in New Zealand (the purported fate of poor Jeff Goldbum) or the ill-timed mishaps in the Swiss and Austrian Alps that supposedly took the lives of Adam Sandler, Charlie Sheen, Ryan Gosling and, yes, the Trading Places star on two prior occasions (see here and here). Alas, the only death Murphy's had to deal with these days was the awful demise of his latest comedy, A Thousand Words, at the box office, which has grossed a paltry $18 million since hitting theaters in March. Thankfully, the funnyman is doing just fine.

Jessica Biel loved being the only female star in her new movie because she got all the male attention.

The sexy actress, who is dating pop heartthrob Justin Timberlake, was glad there was no female competition while filming 'I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry' with Adam Sandler and Kevin James.

She told Britain's OK! magazine: "You definitely get a lot of attention. All of the guys became my 'older brothers' - they picked on me every day! When you're the only girl there's no competition - you're just one of the guys."

Jessica, 25, also revealed she has to think twice before picking her nose in public, because she never knows whether there is a photographer waiting to take her picture.

The beauty said: "It just feels so violating. To walk out of my house in the morning with the dogs, someone's hiding behind the bush with a camera and someone's hiding over there with a camera and there's someone with a video camera and I'm thinking, is my underwear sticking out of my pants? If I reach back there will it look like I'm picking my wedgie? Don't pick your nose - just walk! It's like being stalked - but then fame is something you started yourself."

Jessica Biel could never be a model - because she'd be desperate to scratch herself.

The stunning actress, who is dating pop heartthrob Justin Timberlake, hates posing for photo shoots because the poses she has to pull are so uncomfortable.

She told Parade magazine: "It's never nearly as sexy doing it as it appears in a magazine. You're sort of laughing through the photo shoot because it's funny to take yourself so seriously. I could never be a model because you're always standing in an awkward position and your back hurts, and you're wearing heels lying on a rock or in the sand or something. You're like, 'This is weird. I'm uncomfortable. I'm itching. I need to scratch.' "

Jessica has also revealed she is learning to cope with the paparazzi following her every move as she gets more famous.

She explained: "It's definitely difficult and sort of bizarre to deal with. You do really have to just get into a place where you feel Zen about it. You just have to take a deep breath and know that somebody is going to be taking your picture while you're picking up your dry cleaning. You don't understand why somebody cares but they're there. So you just go about your day and ignore them. That's the best way to deal with it."

Justin Timberlake and 50 Cent have penned a racy new single about watching porn.

The pair wrote the "dirty" track - currently titled 'Ayo Technology' - earlier this year after producer Timbaland introduced them.

A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "The track is an analogy for watching porn. The word 'technology' was put in as a way to replace what they really wanted to say - 'pornography'.

"It's all about being fed up with having to make do watching dirty movies and how desperate they are to have real-life stunning girls."

Justin and 50 - real name Curtis Jackson - will reportedly film the video for the song this weekend with Los Angeles director Joseph Khan. It will see the pair star as sex-obsessed 'Matrix' style secret agents who spy on women.

The source said: "They will wear hi-tech gadgets and night-vision goggles which enable them to see through the girls' clothes.

"It's a cat and mouse situation with car chases and gadgets galore but spying on the girls is the main theme. It will be creepy and sinister. They are going to push the envelope."

The track, which is set to be retitled 'She Wants It', will feature on 50's upcoming album 'Curtis', out in September.

Justin Timberlake is a huge fan of the British band - fronted by Chris Martin - and is very interested in working with them.

Justin, 26, even compared the 'Speed of Sound' rockers to legendary rock band The Beatles.

He said: "I'd love to do a duet with Coldplay - especially Chris Martin. To me they are like a modern-day Beatles."

Justin and Chris could be introduced to one another by mutual friend Nelly Furtado.

Justin recently teamed up with the Canadian singer on producer Timbaland's recent hit single 'Give It To Me', while Chris duetted with Nelly on a version of her track 'All Good Things', which he also co-wrote with her.

Despite being an international heartthrob, the 'SexyBack' star insists he never used to attract girls and even got picked on at school.

Justin told Bliss magazine: "I wasn't successful when it came to girls. I had my crush-and-burns along the way, but everyone does. In school, every kid is awkward in some way. But it's funny because the things you get picked on for when you're at school become the things you actually cherish in later life. "That's what makes you unique."

Justin also revealed he was branded "weird" for wanting to be a singer.

He said: "People thought I was weird because I could sing. I remember when I asked my mom for singing lessons. I was eight. I was fine with it, but I was picked on about my hair, skin and voice."

Britney Spears is considering filing a restraining order against her mother, it has been reported.

The 'Toxic' singer is said to have visited her attorney earlier this week to make inquiries about the order, which would keep her mother Lynne away from Britney's children, reports gossip website X17online.

Sources claimed the troubled star was furious with Lynne for making her check into rehab to seek help for her alleged alcohol addiction and post-natal depression earlier this year.

Lynne also reportedly sided with Britney's estranged husband Kevin Federline during the couple's custody battle for their two sons, 21-month-old Sean Preston and Jayden James, nine months.

Lynne recently insisted her relationship with her daughter was improving, but added Britney still has a long way to go.

She said: "It's sad that the whole world had to watch her make mistakes that all of us have made at one time or another. "Britney Jean Spears is the sweetest and the most sensitive and loving of all my children. She's just figuring things out."

Cameron Diaz insists she "still loves" former boyfriend Justin Timberlake - and finds it hard to believe the public think the pair hate one another.

The couple split in January this year after almost four years together, but the Charlie's Angels star is adamant there are no hard feelings between the pair.

She says, "We love each other. We spent four years together so there is no reason for us not to be friends.

"I always think it is funny when people think, 'Oh you guys must really hate each other now'. And I say, 'No, our paths just went in different directions.'"

And Diaz admits bumping into her ex at the UK premiere of Shrek The Third in London's Leicester Square last night as a welcome meeting.

She adds, "It was good to see Justin because it's nice to see someone you care about. We've not been able to sit down and have a chat yet, we've been so busy."

The 'Shrek the Third' star says her mother Billie taught her to be a strong independent woman, by working hard and caring for her family.

She said: "My mom worked a full-time job during the day and came home every night to make dinner and take care of the household. She did it all. So I always looked up to her, not only as my mom, but as a strong and independent women in her own right. She had a life and a successful career outside the family. She was a wonderful role model."

Cameron Diaz- who split from long-term love Justin Timberlake last December - started modeling at just 16 and has since enjoyed a highly successful Hollywood career.

Justin Timberlake's romance with Jessica Biel is getting so serious the actress flew into the U.K. to see the pop superstar on his European tour.

The couple were spotted out in Manchester, England, on Saturday holding hands and sharing intimate kisses while on a dinner date at high street restaurant chain Nandos.

They were joined by super-producer Timbaland and Manchester United soccer star Alan Smith.

"They're both doing everything they can to keep their relationship low-profile but when they're among friends they can hardly keep their hands off each other."

Actress Jessica Biel fears she isn't taken seriously by Hollywood studios, because she is too "hot". Jessica, who recently topped a magazine poll of the Sexiest Women in the World - claims her good looks have held her back.

But Biel - currently dating pop star Justin Timberlake - hopes the five films she will appear in in 2007 will help change people's minds.

"I hope all my new work will help producers in getting past my hotness."
